Ready to hear about out past few weeks??? Well Shane has just started walking, at least 10 steps without support. Yea!! He is growing up so fast. I am finishing his costume for Halloween. Of course I will have lots of pics.
We had a almost tragic ending two weeks ago. Dyson noticed a strange smell when the heat came on and thought it was a gas leak. I went down the cellar to check cause his ankle was still hurting. Didn't find any leaks, checked pipes with soapy water and I knew the smell wasn't natural gas, it smelled like death. So the heat was turned off, my parents came over so my Mom and Jillian played with Shane while my dad, Dyson and I checked out the furnace. We ended up taking the flue apart from the furnace to the chimney. When that pipe was tapped on the ground a charred creature fell out. We thought it was a mouse but after close examination it was a bird. We checked in the chimney and a piece of the chimney fell down trapping the bird and blocking our chimney so we were filling the house up with carbon monoxide. We had a detecor but it didn't work. Well we have a clear chimney and a new co detector that will alert us when we need to change the entire unit if faulty or expired.
That was a fun time. Shane has enjoyed trips to the store, walks with the dog and eating, eating, eating and eating. I can't believe how much he eats. He won't eat baby food, he wants to feed himself. He has switched to milk and loves it. He has been have little bits of apple juice and whattever amount of water he wants. Shane also climbed out of antother walker. He is excited for his birthday. I got a dinosaur cake pan and my icing decorating tools. I am almost done with sewing his 12 animals for an ark I am making for him..cute! Stay tuned for Halloween pics!
