Thursday - Sweet Potatoes

Tired today, Shane was up many times during the night. Hopefully his teeth will come in fast. Never got to finish the grass today but did get 3 more cabinets baby proofed and the bedroom dusted and blind cords shortened, Shane been exploring his crib by reaching hid arms through the slats. On to the sweet potatoes....

Wednesday - CLEANING DAY

We did the cleaning of the downstairs, mostly. Still have to finish filling the dishwasher and wipe down the counters. Started getting the dining room ready do be a dining room again. I cut the grass out front and behind our fence. Will have to do it again Friday with the mower blade set lower, the grass was high. I found a tomato, asphalt and a flower pot during cutting. We had a nice walk in the afternoon. Luckily Shane is not startled by Rikku's bark, we encountered a dog behind a wood fence, Rikku got nervous and barked and barked. Shane just watched. Rikku does well with just about anything except other dogs.

Sweet Potatoes Tomorrow!

Tuesday, Sunshine and a trip to the Post Office

We had a full day. Baby laundry hung outside. I finished restringing the clothesline. I just need to make a clothespin bag and I will be set. I needed stamps so Shane and I took a nice walk to the post office. He enjoyed having his toes in the breeze. Shane was all smiles in the Post Office for Postmaster Mary. I almost have all of Shane's toys cleaned. He is uncomfortable at times with teething. I can see his two top front teeth starting to appear. We tried some applesauce with blueberries, he wasn't impressed with it so I think I am going to wait and try again soon. No pics of that, spur of the moment but Thursday is a big day, sweet potatoes!!! I still have a bunch of items to get caught up on. Always something to do!

Monday Madness

It was hot today, over90 in the shade. Got half of my clothesline restrung and some grass trimming done with the string trimmer, I have two but one stopped working and won't recharge.
Shane watched from his swing in the shade talking baby talk. We took lots of breaks and had some fun playing with the cats. I got the cabinet under the sink baby proofed just in time. Shane discovered that he could use his walker to open the doors.

Saturday and Sunday

Oh what a weekend! Shane is up about every hour during the night with teething discomfort. I am chilling his bottles and food and that helps a lot in comforting him. Two more teeth have emerged. I guess he is in a hurry to eat solid foods! I cut some of the grass while Shane sat in his swing in the shade with Rikku. We got some of our a/c units ready but the bedroom unit wouldn't turn on so we had to wait until after 2 am for the room temp to drop from high 90's to 78 degrees to sleep. That room holds the heat, the sun hits that side from 1pm on.

Sunday we got a new a/c and a doggie bed and baby proofing supplies. The best part was Dairy Queen's Midnight Chocolate truffle blizzard it's gluten free and SUPER yummy! We had a great time. Shane is getting so good at navigating with his walker. He blocks Rikku's food bowl and poor Rikku can't get her food. I move Shane away but he moves right back. It's so funny.
