Friday

Big news!!! Shane can sit up by himself!!!!! He was crawling around the living room, I looked away for a second and there he was sitting and smiling. He is growing so fast! I have one more item to fasten to the wall and my baby proofing will be done in the dining room. Dyson has one item to do and table can come back in.

Thors-day

Still working on the dining room. I removed a phone jack from the 60's and got two dining room chairs de-furred and cleaned. Shane was in a super "I need my mommy" mood so we spent a lot of time goofing around, tickling, crawling, laughing at Rikku and napping. Shane likes his yogurt drops and is starting to chew! I am tired, so is Shane so we are off to bed.

Wednesday

Grandma and Grandpa came and Grandma shampoo-ed the dining room rug and Grandpa worked in Shane's room. Both rooms are coming along awesomely! The rug dried fast. I cleaned the baseboards and the furniture I moved out to shampoo. I gave Rikku a bath so she will be fresh smelling too.

Tuesday

Worked on the dining room so it will be ready for shampoo. Got 2 more loads of laundry done. Would have more done but I think the dryer is not heating well. Took three cycles to dry a blanket. Shane had a bottle by himself!!! He is growing so fast, he graduated to bigger diapers! He had some soft cooked carrots, he liked them. Shane could pick them up but missed his mouth every time so I had to help a bit. I got the sun light I wanted for Shane's room today!! So happy!!! It is huge and cool!!!!

Monday

We are both tired today. Shane did not want to sleep last night. I don't think it was his teeth, he just wanted to stay awake. He would crawl to the edge of the crib and cry, then start to fall asleep, his head would bump the side of the crib and he would wake back up. I would move him back to the middle and he would move back to the edge. It took a long time to get him to sleep. I was so tired this morning, realized I forgot to put out the garbage last night so ran it out just in time, forgot to run the dishwasher so I had no baby spoons and had to do a quick wash while Shane was demanding breakfast. I got a baby gate installed, Shane tried freezed dried yogurt drops and he liked them! They are yummy. I put out the ant baits outside and hopefully that will take care of the ant problem. Don't like doing it but have to so the house stays intact. Busy day tomorrow, laundry, vacuuming and getting dining room ready for shampooing and some food shopping.

Saturday and Sunday

I've been doing laundry non stop. Still have more to do. I have no idea how I got so behind other then too much fun on vacation! We actually got the yard cut in one day, we took turns and it went fast. We went to Lowes and got a baby gate for the living room and some ant bait for a large colony of ants by the house. We went to Sams Club next, Shane fell asleep on the ride over so Dyson stayed in the car with him while I did the shopping. The shopping was torture, literally!
I don't if it was my shoes or pants but I kept getting static shocks thru the cart, ouch! I hope I get my test results from the MRI Monday. I am nervous about it.

Friday

I am a baby model!

My parents came down, Mom and Jillian watched Shane while Dad took me for my MRI. It was a 35 minute scan with iv contrast dye. They put headphones on me, a helmet cage and wedges to hold my head still while the scan was going. It was loud, reminded me of the sounds from 2001 space odyssey. I was tired afterwards but had millions of loads of laundry to do. Then Shane had a diaper breach in the walker and it was down his legs and all over the floor with baby foot prints of fun goo. I gave him a bath and got the walker, highchair and floor washed. As he fell asleep I got a call that Cute Kitty was out of the fence running around the neighborhood. She was terrified, she was out when the big storms rolled through. Dyson finally was able to get her in after a few hours. She would stay next to the fence but run away when you go to get her. That was fun. So the day was full of surprises and twist and turns. Didn't get my laundry done so that will be done Saturday. Hopefully we can also get some baby gates....Shane is getting more and more mobile every day!

Thursday I had a Dr Appt. It was humid so we stayed inside most of the day but did sit out back and watched Rikku stalk a rabbit. We went food shopping and Shane had lots of fun.

Wednesday

Shane's teeth are coming in so fast. He was up many times during the night, a cold teether each time helped. Today we cleaned the bathroom top to bottom. We read stories and played on Shane's rug in the dining room, well he played while I was sorting thread, sewing tools and craft supplies. I made a gluten free cheesy tuna casserole, super yummy!!! We sat on the front porch steps and watched the wildlife before Wheel of Fortune. I am ready for bed and some needed sleep!

Shane is 8 months old!!

Shane is 8 months old and I can start feeding him soft finger food. He is ready, he grabs the spoon and bowl while eating. He also bit me twice in the shoulder, ouch! He bit thru one teether and I threw it away. I'll have to find some hard teethers for him. Shane is getting so fast crawling. Before I know it he is across the living room and at the stairs! Shane was in his swing watching me prune and weed this morning. He helped me empty the dishwasher. Shane took a spatula out of the dishwasher and rolled around the kitchen swinging it around for 20 minutes! We did baby laundry, mopped the kitchen, cleaned the stove, vacuumed, did yoga, removed all the 18 month onesies that are too small, organized moe of my business stuff and played with Shane. We had a fun day.
