Pool Party

Back to blog again!  We had a great vacation and then the time just flew by and I guess I put the blog on the back burner for a bit.  I have been doing well with my new eating routine (don't want to say diet because I plan on keeping this routine)  I am now down 87 pounds and getting really close to my goal.  We have been walking 4 miles a day and sometimes 6 on cool days.  Rikku looks amazing, it is funny how just exercising makes her coat shiny.  Shane enjoys watching the traffic go by as we walk and is in awe of the big rigs.  We got caught in the rain today, it was sunny out when we left and I checked the weather radar and looked clear but 2 miles out we were hit by the heaviest downpour you could imagine.  Shane stayed dry in the stroller but Rikku and I were soaked.  We just happened to be at a stretch of road with no awnings or overhangs to hide under.  Since I was soaked I decide to keep walking, felt nice and cool afterwards!  

Shane has outgrown his size 7 shoes.  Note to my parents: He loves the flashing sneakers and stomps around in them and he wore the sandals all day yesterday.  They are just about the right size.  I think his foot has grown a whole half size since I picked up the shoes at your place.

My garden is growing and we have been snacking on sweet peas.  So did a squirrel until Rikku grabbed it.  She let it go and it scurried away.  Made Rikku's day.

Got car to wash this week.  Seats in the van to wash and install.  Only have 3 garbage bags left from the first wave of spring cleaning.  I still have a bunch left to do but it is in areas that I can't have Shane like the cellar so it is put off till I can get some alone time.

Laundry time for me!  Got two loads to fold tonight and then I am done for the day!

First warm day of Spring

Enjoying vacation.  I cut the front bushes so it now looks like someone lives at our house.  I lost another 3 pounds so I am super happy.  We are now walking two laps around Wyoming each morning for over an hour.  I started a food journal to see how many calories, fat, sugar I am consuming.  Tomorrow is a big day, we have some shopping, yard work and a dog to bathe.  She is a bit stinky and I have been trying to get time to wash her for over a week.  We did food shopping today, Shane was so cute saying bye bye when we were leaving, to everyone he saw and I mean everyone.  Too cute!

Boy it was hot the past few days but nice yesterday and today.  Walked two laps around Wyoming while Shane slept in the stroller today. I had to get dog food and stop at the pharmacy also.  Shane was the hit of the day at both places.  He wowed the cashiers at the grocery store with his smiles and yelling "Bye-Bye" as we left.  At the pharmacy he flashed smiles, showed the pharmacist how he can wave good bye and giggled up a storm.  Maybe he will be going into politics when he is older, he knows how to work a crowd.

 Dyson is on vacation starting Thursday and all next week. YIPEEE!!!!  I am so happy.  He has been working both days and nights the past two weeks so it will be great to spend some time with us all together.

Today I have a video of what happens at almost every lunch time, whether Shane is in his booster seat or running around.  It also shows the reason Rikku is Shane's best friend.....

Shane!!

Got another 5 am wake up call from Shane.  I don't know how he does it but he can turn the alarm on to beeping mode and gets me right up.  I had a doctors appointment today so we had a small trip.  There was a long wait so we took a walk around Kingston and and played in the back seat of the car.  Shane did very well and got compliments on his good behavior.  He is such a sweetie.  I lost about 77lbs so far and am happy about that.  Just about 20 to 25lbs to go and I will be at a good weight range.  I also trimmed a large amount of wild grape vines and this weird tree (aka Poke you in the Eye Tree) from the back chain link fence.  It was about 12 ft tall, the tree, and covered in vines,  It also was about a foot over the alley road so I had to get that under control so cars can go thru without being scratched.  Next step is to bag all the clippings, that is going to be a chore.  I will put the pool up again tomorrow since it will be getting hotter. Great weather to cut the grass...yeah :(

New furniture

Today I shampoo-ed the dining room carpet, it was bad but now looks good.  We had a lovely walk in the afternoon, I started my yoga, hopefully that will improve my circulation.  Shane helped me weed some of the flower beds and helped plant three more snap pea plants.  Tomorrow I have a doctors appt so Shane will be coming with me,. he loves the waiting rooms but doesn't like the exam rooms.  Got to cut grass, it is starting to get high.
